A New History Textbook Will Tell Schoolchildren About The Attempt To Overthrow The Lukashenko Regime

Belarusians will be reminded of the revolution of 2020.

Schoolchildren will be told about the "coup attempt" and "Western interference in the internal affairs" of Belarus. Such topics are in the new textbook "History of Belarus in the context of World History" for 11th grade students, reports "Euroradio".

"One of the forms of "color revolutions" was practiced in the country. Especially strong pressure was exerted in the information space (Internet portals, social networks)," the textbook says.

The events of 2020 are called "an attempted coup d'état", in case of success of which the opposition would allegedly turn "for help to the US and the EU to hold new elections or military intervention".
