For the 13th time.

The XIII Festival of Independent Belarusian Culture is taking place in the Polish city of Wroclaw. The events started on October 14 and will last until October 19, 2025.

The traditional festival has become a meeting place for independent creative personalities from different spheres - musicians, artists, actors, writers, directors and photographers. The program includes concerts, performances, literary presentations, exhibitions, as well as film screenings and discussions.

The slogan of the current festival, as the organizers told the site Charter97.org, is "I am!" ("Jestem!"). ("Jestem!")

"It is not only a manifesto of presence, but also a call to action, to regain one's own voice and creative freedom. This message is especially important for Belarusians and Belarusian women in exile, for whom the festival has been a safe haven and a place where you can present art free from censorship for many years," the organizers say.

The festival will also present the Award for the support and development of Belarusian culture. The awarding will take place on Sunday, October 19, at 15:00 at Centrum na Przedmieściu, 39a Przodzinskiego Street.

On Saturday, October 18, there will be a performance of "Emaho Emaso" - a production of "Tuteishaga Teatr" directed by Andrei Savchenko.

The performance will be shown at 19:00 at Akademia Sztuk Teatralnych im. St. Wyspiańskiego, Scena im. Tadeusza Różewicza, Braniborska 59.

The festival is organized by the foundation "Za Wolność Waszą i Naszą".
