US President Donald Trump confirmed the return of all surviving hostages to Israel by Hamas and announced the start of the second phase of the peace settlement in the Gaza Strip, which predicts, among other things, the transfer of the bodies of the dead hostages. He wrote about it on Truth Social.

"All 20 hostages have returned and are feeling well. The heavy burden has been lifted, but the work is not yet complete. The bodies of the dead have not been returned although this was promised. Phase Two begins right now!!!" - Trump stated.

On October 8, Trump announced that Israel and Hamas had agreed to the first phase of his proposed peace plan following talks in Egypt. Two days later, the cease-fire went into effect. Israel withdrew troops to the Gaza buffer zone, and Palestinians began returning home.
