Biden Praised Trump

Former US President Joe Biden has recognized the contribution of current US President Donald Trump and his team in ending the war in the Gaza Strip between Israel and the Hamas group.

He wrote in his X.

"I am deeply grateful and relieved that this day has come - for the last 20 living hostages who have been through an incredible hell and are finally reunited with their families and loved ones, and for the civilians in Gaza who have suffered immeasurable losses and will finally have a chance to rebuild their lives," Biden said.

He added that "the road to this agreement has not been easy" and recalled his administration's "tireless work" to bring hostages home, help Palestinian civilians and end the war.

The former president said it was Trump's efforts that helped bring the process of a new truce to a conclusion.

Biden said that thanks to the support of the United States and the international community, the Middle East has a chance for a lasting peace that will enable both Israelis and Palestinians to live in safety, dignity and peace.
