Zelensky: Putin Can Be Forced To Peace, Just Like Any Terrorist

The Ukrainian president urged NATO to speed up deliveries of air defense systems and missiles.

Kremlin ruler Vladimir Putin hopes to use terror to break Ukraine's resistance regime. But this cannot be allowed to happen - a decision must be made on the delivery of air defense systems and missiles in the near future.

According to "RBC-Ukraine", Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said this during an address to the 71st annual session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

He noted that the war in the Middle East is finally ending, and it shows that after so many victims there is a real chance for peace. But Russia's war in Europe remains the biggest source of global instability.

"Putin can be coerced into peace - just like any other terrorist. Even Hamas is now preparing to release hostages. If this is possible, Putin can also be forced to restore peace," Zelensky said.

He believes that by stopping Russia now, NATO countries will not only help themselves, but also save their leaders from having to do what Zelensky is doing.

"Before winter comes, Putin hopes to use this terror to break our resistance regime. We cannot allow this to happen. So I urge you to advocate in your parliaments and governments to strengthen the air defenses and missiles that we need. And a decision on systems and missiles needs to be made in the coming weeks," Zelensky said.

Zelensky also recalled that yesterday he discussed with US President Donald Trump Patriot systems, Tomahawk missiles, the energy equipment Ukraine needs and the need to stop partners buying Russian oil.

"Even if Hungarians claim that this helps their electoral chances, in the long term it undermines the security of their country and Europe. For Putin, every billion matters. You cannot be part of the free world and at the same time support those who want to destroy it," the Ukrainian president emphasized.
