Belarusians Began To Drink Less

What the statistics say.

In 2024, the total volume of alcohol consumption in Belarus per capita of the population aged 15 years and older in absolute alcohol amounted to 11.1 liters. In 2023, this figure was at 11.5 liters. This is reported by Belstat.

The volume of consumption of registered alcohol per capita last year was at the level of 10.5 liters (in 2023 - 10.9 liters).

Last year, in physical terms, the volume of consumption of some types of alcoholic beverages in Belarus was as follows:

beer - 46,597 ths. decaliters (1 decaliter = 10 liters);

vodka - 8329 thousand decaliters;

slow alcoholic drinks - 4968 thousand decaliters;

fruit wine - 4177 thousand decaliters;

grape wine - 3536 thousand decaliters;

cognac, cognac drinks and brandy - 1229 thousand decaliters.
