The Finnish Ministry of Defense has mistakenly disclosed to Finnish broadcaster Yle information that it had previously classified.

Media journalists in response to their request received a document in which some of the information was shaded, but this data was easily restored.

According to the ministry, there was human error in processing the document, which should not have happened.

The information released concerned defense procurement related to budget preparation.

Yle did not disclose the content of the shaded phrase because, according to the media, the information was not of significant public importance.

The Finnish Defense Ministry stressed that it took the error seriously.
