Ukrainian special forces have destroyed sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the occupation army of the Russian Federation, which were trying to gain a foothold in the village of Yampol in Donetsk region. The command of the AFU Special Operations Forces wrote about it in Facebook.

According to the SDF, the Russian occupants tried by small reconnaissance and sabotage groups to gain a foothold in Yampol to form a bridgehead for further assault actions.

To stabilize the situation, groups of the 8th Special Forces Regiment of the SDF named after Prince Izyaslav Mstislavovich entered the village.

Special forces identified and eliminated the enemy in this settlement. Yampol was cleared, further advance of the invaders was prevented. The enemy suffered losses in personnel, and the AFU fighters regained control over the area.

The village of Yampol in Kramatorsk district of Donetsk region belongs to the Slavyansk direction of the front. According to the AFU General Staff, yesterday, October 9, Russian occupants attacked AFU positions 17 times on this section of the front. The fighting took place in the areas of Yampol, Serebryanka, Novoselovka, Vyemka and Pereezhnoye.

The Russian army is trying to encircle and capture the town of Seversk. In the neighboring Konstantinovsky direction, Ukrainian fighters yesterday repulsed 23 enemy attacks. The fighting took place in the areas of Bila Gora, Shcherbinovka, Rusinoye Yar, Poltavka and towards Pleshcheyevka. In this direction, the Russian occupants are trying to reach the eastern outskirts of Kostyantynivka.
