Three alleged Hamas members suspected of preparing terrorist attacks against Israeli targets in Germany have been detained in Berlin, according to a statement from the country's Prosecutor General's Office.

"The Federal Prosecutor's Office arrested German citizen Abed Al G., Lebanese-born Wael F.M. and German citizen Ahmad I. on October 1, 2025," the statement said. The suspects were charged with membership in a foreign terrorist organization, as well as preparation of a terrorist attack. Their trial was scheduled for October 2.

The agency called the three detainees "foreign agents" of Hamas. According to the prosecutor's office, they had been purchasing firearms and ammunition in Germany since the summer of 2025.
