Presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has raised $200 million in donations for her campaign in less than a week, Politico.

“Vice President Harris’s effort and energy are real, as are the fundamentals of this race — it’s going to be a very close race decided by a small number of voters in just a few states,” said Michael Tyler, communications director for the Harris presidential campaign.

According to him, two-thirds of the donations came from first-time donors.

According to Harris’ campaign staff, this state of affairs indicates overwhelming grassroots support for her historic bid for the presidency.
