Political prisoner ‘European Belarus’ activist Yauhen Afnahel, sentenced to 7 years in prison, has been kept behind bars for almost 3 years and 9 months. He was serving time in Navapolatsk colony № 1, but then the regime was reinforced and he was transferred to Mahiliou prison № 4, writes Viasna.

Now it became known that after the prison regime expired, Yauhen was again transferred to Navapolatsk. There he was assigned to work on cable cleaning. It is known that he was immediately deprived of care packages and visits. In addition, there have been no letters or calls from him for a month. Close friends of the political prisoner believe that he was placed in the punishment cell.

We remind you that during the time in prison, Yauhen's eyesight has deteriorated, so now he has to wear glasses. He reads and draws a lot behind bars. It is known that Yauhen is under pressure from the administration of penitentiary institutions.
