Defense Intelligence Drones Attack Largest Lukoil Oil Refinery

On the night of Saturday, May 11, drones of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine attacked the Volgograd oil refinery in Russia.
This was reported by Ukrayinska Pravda’s interlocutor at the Defense Intelligence.
“On the night of May 11, Russia “roared” again. At 03:45, UAVs of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine flew at the Volgograd Oil Refinery, owned by PJSC Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka. The primary oil processing plants AVT-1 and AVT-6 were damaged,” the report says.
According to the UP source, the current state of the installations is being clarified. At the same time, it is known that the control cable for the air coolers was damaged, as a result of which seven refrigerators were turned off. The chimney of the P-1 furnace was also damaged.
Russian public pages and some media reported that on the night of May 11, seven drones were shot down over the Volgograd and Kursk regions.
Air defense operations were heard in the Krasnoarmeysky district of Volgograd.
On the night of February 3, 2024, the Volgograd Oil Refinery was already attacked by Ukrainian drones, resulting in a fire.
LLC “Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka” is the largest producer of petroleum products in the Southern Federal District of the Russian Federation, the plant's capacity is 14.8 million tons. Since 1993, it has been a 100% subsidiary of PJSC Lukoil.
