The situation is very difficult for the energy sector.

Almost all critical energy infrastructure in Kharkiv has already been destroyed, the mayor of the Ukrainian city, Igor Terekhov, has said.

"I do not know what the enemy's plan is. Almost all critical energy infrastructure has already been destroyed, private infrastructure has also been smashed," he told Liga.net.

According to him, Russia wants to intimidate, but it is impossible.

"In two years we have seen different levels of threats, starting with sabotage-reconnaissance groups in Kharkiv itself. There were times when 300,000 were left out of a city of almost two million," he said.

Terekhov stated that the situation for the energy sector is very difficult, but no one is giving up.

"We have indestructibility points working around the clock. For two days of the last blackout after the shelling, 28,000 Kharkiv residents came there. They feed people for free in schools. In one year, 10 million portions of food were given out. We have experienced more difficult times - we will survive these times as well," he said.
