Defense Intelligence Head Budanov Awarded Hero Of Ukraine Title

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky awarded Head of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine Kirylo Budanov the title of Hero of Ukraine.

The head of the Ukrainian state signed the corresponding decree #57/2024 on February 8, the text of the document was published on the website of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

“For personal courage and heroism shown in defending the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, selfless service to the Ukrainian people, I decree: to confer the title Hero of Ukraine with the award of the Order of the Gold Star to Kirylo Oleksiyovych Budanov, Lieutenant General,” the text of the decree says.

In addition, Lieutenant Colonel Vyacheslav Aheyev received the title of Hero of Ukraine. This is stated in Zelensky’s decree #56/2024.

Today, Zelensky awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine to General Valeriy Zaluzhny, who the day before was dismissed from the post of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
