The Ukrainian president has said that his country needs a "change of leadership".

Ukraine needs a change of leadership - and not just military. This is how Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the possible dismissal of AFU commander-in-chief Valery Zaluzhny in an interview with the Italian channel Rai 1 broadcast on Sunday 4 February, reports New Voice.

In response to a journalist's question about Zaluzhny, Zelensky said that Ukraine needed a "reset", meaning a change of leadership - "and not just military".

"I mean something serious that affects not just one person, but the direction of the country's leadership. When we talk about this, I mean a rotation of a whole range of government leaders, not just in one sector like the military. I am thinking about this change, but here we cannot say that we have replaced one person," Zelensky said.

According to him, if Ukraine wants to win, it is important to have "the right positive energy", to get everyone moving in the same direction and not to despair.

"That's why I'm talking about a reset, about a replacement, I mean something serious, which does not concern one person, but the leadership of the country," the president explained.
