CEO of Goravtomost Pavel Vazhnik was detained in Minsk. According to Euroradio, searches were carried out at his home and office. The official is suspected of taking a bribe.
Vazhnik’s photo has not yet been removed from the company’s website. However, when the journalist called the reception as a private individual, he was told that the now former CEO was “not there” and “won’t be there anymore.” His duties are performed by his first deputy, Ivan Shalankevich.
“Goravtomost” thundered throughout the country on January 8, 2022, when a span of a road bridge collapsed on Niamiha in the center of Minsk. After that, it had undergone long repairs, while the blame was shifted on the deputy CEO of “Goravtomost” Mikalai Dziadziulia.
