Lukashenka Paralyzed By Fear

Everything is falling apart.

Dictator Lukashenka has passed a law on guarantees for himself and his family in case he leaves the highest office.

It includes lifetime protection, transfer of state property, lifetime becoming a delegate of some caricature structures. And, of course, immunity for any offences committed during the reign.

It won't work. There is an example, albeit not entirely apt, in Kazakhstan. However Lukashenka is not Nazarbayev, it's a different story. He is a criminal who has been beating the people and unleashing mass repression. And he can guarantee himself immunity only as long as he has power in his hands, and Putin has power in Russia.

As soon as changes come in Russia (and they will come in time), the country will return to the European vector, the end will also come to the Belarusian dictator with his guarantees.

This is obvious. Yet the law on guarantees itself is indicative - it speaks about Lukashenka's fear and understanding of the end. If it were otherwise - he would sit flat. Dictators Stalin and Mao did not adopt laws on guarantees for their families, they believed in the stability of the order.

Lukashenka, it turns out, does not have any faith. All the more naive is the attempt to establish something for himself by "law". Everything will fall apart.
