The police said that she was in the "union wanted list".
Slutsk resident Liudmila Hryshkavets was detained at the railway station in Minsk and taken to the police in her hometown, it was stated that the woman is allegedly on the "Union wanted list."
She reported about it on her Instagram page.
"Despite my numerous pleas that, being at the Minsk railway station, I am taking a ticket to the city of Brest to proceed further to the sanatorium and pick up my son - a disabled man of the second group, nothing helped. The second officer said that if I disobeyed, I would be handcuffed and taken to the police station anyway," said Hryshkavets.
According to her, she was taken to Slutsk under escort in a car with locked doors. And here another surprise awaited the woman.
"In Slutsk, the district police officer explained to me that he had a deadline to respond to the prosecutor's office on the issue, with which I had appealed to the prosecutor's office, so he decided to take me to Slutsk in this way and get an explanation from me," said the woman.
Hryshkavets wrote a statement to the police asking them to explain the "lawlessness" of the district police officer, who had decided to take her to the police station having invented the story with the "Union wanted list". According to her, the letter received from the police did not answer her question, and the date of her appeal was indicated incorrectly.
At the same time, she expressed the opinion that it is not the country's leadership, but the unscrupulous police officers who are to blame for such "lawlessness".
She added that she would appeal again to the head of Slutsk police department Vadzim Kanapatski for a repeated explanation of who had authorised the alleged "union search", which she still doesn't believe in, and "who will stop this lawlessness".
Liudmila Hryshkavets is the widow of Chernobyl accident liquidator Aliaksandr Hryshkavets. In 2019, she was reporting in many media that she could not get her husband's pension because of contradictory conclusions by doctors.
