The red-green flag (the official flag of the Republic of Belarus) was included in the "black list" at the Australian Open. It is present in the list of symbols that are prohibited on TV. According to the Macedonian service of Radio Liberty, the same ban applied to the flags of the Russian Federation, Taiwan, the Palestinian Authority and Israel. The flag of North Macedonia was blacklisted by mistake. The mistake has already been corrected.

Representatives of Belarus perform at the prestigious tournament: Aryna Sabolenka and Viktoryia Azarenka — in singles, Aliaksandra Sasnovich — in doubles.
