British Intelligence Reveals Whether Russian Black Sea Fleet Can Carry Out Combat Missions

Russia's Black Sea Fleet has suffered a series of serious attacks in recent weeks.
British intelligence says the damage to Russia's Black Sea Fleet after numerous attacks is serious but localised.
This is stated in the intelligence report of the British Ministry of Defence, published on Tuesday, 26 September.
It notes that the Russian Black Sea Fleet is still able to carry out its main combat missions, in particular cruise missile strikes and local patrols.
However, according to the report, Russia's ability to continue wider regional patrols and blockades of Ukrainian ports is likely to be reduced. In addition, its ability to protect its port facilities and carry out regular maintenance has been reduced.
Intelligence officials note that a dynamic and deep battle is underway in the Black Sea that will force Russia to act reactively, as it demonstrates that the Ukrainian army can undermine the Kremlin's symbolic and strategic power from its port in occupied Sevastopol.
Russia's Black Sea Fleet has suffered a series of serious attacks in recent weeks, the most serious of which were attacks on its headquarters on 20 and 22 September.
The report notes that these attacks were the most destructive and coordinated during the entire period of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
