Changes to the Air Code are being prepared in Belarus.
A draft law appeared in the draft law online database of the National Legal Internet Portal.
It is proposed to add Article 29-1 to the code with the following regulations:
“Civil unmanned aerial vehicles are subject to state registration in the database of state registration of civil unmanned aerial vehicles.
The operation of civil unmanned aerial vehicles without state registration is prohibited.
State registration of civil unmanned aerial vehicles is carried out by a specially authorized body in the field of civil aviation.”
The registration process will be determined by aviation regulations. They will probably specify which UAVs are subject to registration.
The draft also changes the definition of an UAV. It is defined as “an aircraft intended for flights without a crew on board, controlled by an operator of an unmanned aerial vehicle from a control point (remote control), including without his visual contact with the aircraft, or in a specified autonomous mode, or a combination of these methods "
In addition, they introduced a new term - civil unmanned aircraft. They gave the following definition: an aircraft without a crew on board, under the control of an unmanned aircraft commander who is a remote pilot, intended to fly along air traffic service routes.”
