Lukashenka's regime continues its provocations.
Poland, in cooperation with Lithuania and Latvia, must achieve the complete isolation of Belarus. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of the Interior of Poland, Matej Wąsik, in an interview with the Polish public TV channel TVP, commenting on the situation with the Belarusian helicopters that violated the airspace of Poland.
The politician noted that the appearance of Belarusian helicopters in the airspace of Poland was not the first provocation.
“Over the course of ten years, we have had many similar situations, including with fighter jets. Such situations, unfortunately, happen, and we must react strongly. The Polish government will react decisively,” said the deputy head of the ministry.
“In cooperation with Lithuania and Latvia, we must achieve the complete isolation of Belarus in a certain future,” the politician noted. He noted that Lukashenka reacts only to force and does not adhere to democratic principles.
As the website Charter97.org wrote, on August 1, two Belarusian helicopters violated the state border of Poland. They took part in exercises.
“After the commanders and heads of services presented conclusions on the analysis of the situation, it was established that today, August 1, 2023, there was a violation of Polish airspace by two Belarusian helicopters conducting exercises near the border,” the press service of the Polish Ministry of Defense said.
The country's Defense Minister Mariusz Błaszczak called for an increase in the number of soldiers on the border and for the allocation of additional forces and means, including combat helicopters.
Also, Charge d'Affaires of Belarus was summoned onto the carpet at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland for explanations.
