Siarhei Tsikhanouski's Apartment Put Up For Sale Again

The three-room apartment of the people's blogger and political prisoner Siarhei Tsikhanouski at 137/2 Independence Avenue in Minsk was again put up for auction. This time, the cost of this real estate was reduced, Zerkalo reports.
They are trying to sell the Minsk apartment of the Tsikhanouski family at an auction for the third time. The previous two were unsuccessful. And if earlier the initial price of an apartment at the auction was BYR 214.900, now the price is BYR 171.900.
The ad on the BelYurObespechenie website still indicates that the apartment has registered tenants, including minor children. The area of the apartment is 66 square meters, it is sold together with a built-in kitchen and wardrobe.
This time, a video was placed in the ad showing the condition of the apartment.
Recall that Siarhei Tsikhanouski was sentenced to 18 years in prison in a high-security colony on December 14, 2021. The trial was held behind closed doors. According to human rights activists, the defendants in the Tsikhanouski case (Mikalai Statkevich, Ihar Losik, Artsiom Sakau, Dzmitry Papou and Uladzimir Tsyhanovich were involved in the case) were also ordered to pay BYR 2.5 million of compensation – as stated in the court decision, “to pay employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for extra time on duty during post-election protests.
