Large Groups Of Migrants Are Trying To Illigally Enter EU From Belarus

Illegal migrants continue to storm the border between Belarus and the EU countries. Over the past 24 hours, Polish border guards have stopped more than one and a half hundred people who were trying to illegally enter the territory of Poland.

According to the Polish Border Service, 159 people tried to enter the country illegally on July 2. 38 of them were citizens of India. 19 people returned to the territory of Belarus after seeing the Polish border guards.

"Foreigners tried to illegally cross the border in large groups of up to 60 people," the service said.

On the same day, according to the Lithuanian Ministry of Internal Affairs, six people tried to get from Belarus to Lithuania, 35 people tried to enter the territory of Latvia.

Thus, the total number of those who tried to illegally enter the EU countries from Belarus yesterday amounted to 200 people.
