'Putin Destroyed Himself With It'

After withdrawing from the Black Sea Convention, Putin said that all ships heading to Ukrainian ports would be considered potential military targets.

But this is not just aggressive rhetoric, notes Russian opposition journalist Yulia Latynina, because missiles are already flying towards Odessa, destroying grain storage, which means this is not a statement but specific action.

"Tens of thousands of tonnes of grain destroyed, grain storages burned. Kh-22 missiles, which are almost impossible to intercept because they fly a very short distance. They can't hit the target, but if they fly into a port structure the size of several football fields, they will hit something," the journalist explained.

Russia also launches Onyx anti-ship missiles, which generally fly at Mach 6. They are launched from Bastion (missile complex - ed.), which is located in Crimea. Bastion is a mobile complex like ATACMS.

"I think eliminating Bastion will be a priority for Zaluzhny, but hitting it back is extremely difficult. In this grain thing, the short grain battle, Putin seems to be winning because we have nothing to answer with. And my hypothesis is that Putin has irrevocably destroyed himself with this move," says Latynina.
