AFU Defeat Russian Troops Near Avdiivka

Ukrainian defenders continue to destroy enemy positions in the Bakhmut direction. The AFU are successfully fighting near Kleshcheyivka, Berhivka and Kurdyumivka. At the same time, Russian military bloggers claim that Putin's army still controls one of the tactically significant heights near Kleshcheyivka.

Analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) outlined the picture of the fighting in the Bakhmut direction.

Cherevaty, the speaker of the Eastern Group of Ukrainian Forces, stated that all the main heights in the Bakhmut area are controlled by the AFU forces. Russian bloggers confirmed the constant attacks by the AFU near Kleshcheyivka. At the same time, they also claim that the activity near Razdolivka has decreased.

The geolocation footage from July 11 shows the AFU repelling attacks of the enemy army near Orekhove-Vasilyivka. Pro-Kremlin channels say that the Russian army managed to launch a successful counterattack near Berkhivka, but was defeated near Dubrove-Vasilyivka.

Kadyrov admitted that his Akhmat is fighting against the AFU near Kleshcheyivka together with the 4th Motorised Rifle Brigade. Also the day before, the Russian army stormed the positions of the AFU on the Avdiivka-Donetsk line. The geolocation footage shows that the Russian army retreated north of Avdiivka after the failed assault. Moreover, they left a wounded man on the battlefield who decided to commit suicide.
