'Air Cross Procession' Starts In Belarus

An icon will fly over the country by helicopter for several weeks.

On Tuesday, July 11, the air Cross Procession with the icon of the Mother of God "Unburnt Bush" began over the territory of Belarus, reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The flight of rescuers with the Orthodox spiritual relic will be held for several weeks by a helicopter of the MES aviation, said the Ministry. The icon will visit all the regional cities of Belarus, and worship services will be held there.

"Today the icon will visit Brest and Hrodna regional subdivisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. On July 14, the rescuers of Homel and Mahiliou regional departments of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will be able to visit the icon. On July 19, in the morning, the icon will go to Vitsebsk region, after which it will fly around Minsk and Minsk region," reported in the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The air procession will end with a solemn handover of the spiritual relic to the Minister of Emergency Situations.
