Moscow was rebuffed on the issue of weapons supplies to Ukraine.
The aggressor country Russia, which attacked Ukraine, once again convened a meeting of the UN Security Council to discuss the supply of Western weapons to Ukraine allowing the country to protect against attacks of the invaders. However, Moscow was again rebuffed, recalling that it also receives weapons from other countries and uses them to attack a sovereign country and its people, obozrevatel.com reports.
The meeting started at 15:00. As Ukraine's permanent representative to the UN Serhiy Kyslitsa said on Twitter, the terrorist country invited "experts", in particular the American journalist Max Blumenthal, who is under accusation of receiving money from the Russian Federation.
Kislytsya called the speakers "the sneakiest defenders of the invasion of Ukraine and dictatorial regimes in general."
Izumi Nakamitsu, the UN High Representative for Disarmament Affairs, spoke on behalf of the UN Secretariat. She pointed out that there is information about the supply of attack drones and ammunition from other countries to the occupation forces of Russia for use in Ukraine.
She also said that, according to media reports, there is information about the transfer of "main types of conventional weapons to other armed groups participating in the war in Ukraine."
Nakamitsu noted that most of the victims in Ukraine are the result of the Russians using explosive weapons with a large area of destruction. An example is the attack on Kramatorsk on June 27, which killed 12 people.
