The former commander of the 38th Brest Airborne Assault Brigade urged the Russians to leave our country.
Lieutenant colonel in the reserve, former commander of the 38th separate Brest Airborne Assault Brigade Valeryj Sakhashchyk reminded that the 1st separate Airborne Assault Company was formed of Belarusians in Ukraine. He also reminded the Belarusian military of their oath, and called on the Russians to leave Belarus.
He also posted a photo of 18 members of the company on his Telegram-channel. The unit was created on the initiative of his department in the DIC and under Sakhashchyk's personal leadership "by officers of the armed forces and special units, patriots of a free, democratic Belarus."
In Ukraine, the company is "gaining combat experience necessary for the creation of a new, high-tech and highly efficient Belarusian army". Earlier, Sakhashchyk reported on creating the unit and that it has been in operation for two months.
There are two appeals in today's post. The first is to the Belarusian military: "We have always been a united people, and remain so. The criminal group which has illegally seized and holds power in the Republic of Belarus is trying to split us and incite us against each other. However, we have nothing to divide. We, the warriors, have taken an oath to ensure the safety of our people, to protect it from the enemies who are shedding the blood of the Belarusians and depriving them of their freedom. Let us remember our oath and do our military duty!"
The second appeal is to the Russian military in Belarus: "Nobody called you to our homeland. Any agreements with the long-standing illegal Belarusian authorities are not even worth the paper they are written on. You are occupiers just like your compatriots present in Ukraine. We will soon offer you to leave the territory of the Republic of Belarus and return to Russia, and when that moment comes, it will be in your interests to do so voluntarily".
