The Russians suffered huge losses.
A Russian military train fell under attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine while the Russians were unloading shells. It happened in the occupied Rykove, Kherson region.
As the website Charter97.org reported before, early in the morning on Sunday, June 18, powerful explosions thundered in the occupied settlement of Rykove, located in the Kherson region.
Later it became known that the railway train of the occupiers with ammunition was hit, dialog.ua reports.
A large number of videos of the “boom” appeared on the Internet, which were filmed by eyewitnesses.
The information was also confirmed by adviser to the mayor of Mariupol Petro Andryushchenko. The attack on the Russian military facility was delivered at about 4 am.
“They stroke right into the territory of the grain elevator. Judging by the reports from the locals, there was a large ammo depot there. Detonation has begun,” Andryushchenko said.
The locals heard the sounds of detonation of shells for several hours after the “hits”.
Journalist Denys Kazansky clarified that a train of the Russian army fell under attack during the unloading of ammunition at the Partizany station.
“There are many dead among the Russian military who were engaged in loading,” he specified.
Rykove is located about 120 km from the territories controlled by the Ukrainian army.
It can be assumed that the Ukrainians used Storm Shadow missiles to strike at the Russian military facility. The Ukrainian side has not yet commented on the information.
