SSU Major General: Russians Are Already Being Prepared For Putin's Defeat

For this, a provocation can be arranged on the territory of the Russian Federation.
At a meeting with military officers, Putin repeated theses about “huge losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the successes of the Russian army”. Is this an element of propaganda, or is Putin deliberately misleading his entourage?
The Charter97.org website talked about this with the former deputy head of the SSU, Major General in the reserve Viktor Yahun.
— I don't believe that Putin is an idiot. Many say that he is good, but there are just bad performers who do not convey the necessary information to him. Be sure that Putin, a former intelligence officer, has three or four sources that do not depend on each other, he knows the truth for sure.
Therefore, everything he said yesterday (if it was him, because there are various conspiracy theories about doubles), he knew what he was saying. Putin deliberately broadcast lies, he lied for the whole evening, so this is the real him, what he is, there will be no other.
— Despite all the bellicose statements, Putin said he was ready for negotiations. Is the head of the Kremlin still hoping for them?
— What kind of negotiations, on what terms? From time to time, one of the Russian deputies announces conditions that no one will agree to. From the latter — the “senator” from the Crimea, Serhiy Tsekov, who was or even still is the Hero of Ukraine, proposed to give Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kharkiv regions to Russia, and they will negotiate in response. Fine? What country will agree to such conditions? Everything they say is on their terms.
— Putin also voiced the thesis of a “cordon sanitaire in Ukraine”. However, we see that a real cordon sanitaire may appear on the border with the Russian Federation — it is created by Russian volunteers who enter the Belgorod region. Can such a “security belt” appear on the border between Russia and Ukraine as a result of the war?
— The “security belt” will appear, but it will appear on the territory of the Russian Federation. Russia has neither the technical, nor the material, nor even the human capacity to create such a cordon. In order to secure their border with Ukraine, they need about a million soldiers. They simply do not have such resources, they cannot ensure the border with NATO, which, due to the appearance of Finland, is thousands of kilometers long. Therefore, whatever they say about the cordon sanitaire, let them create it, let them try it. It remains only to finally capture Bakhmut and they can do everything else.
— If the Armed Forces of Ukraine achieve significant success during the counteroffensive, what scenarios can this trigger in Russia?
— Putin is not afraid of anything at all. Even if he loses, the Russians are already being prepared for this. One of these moments is related to the fact that they want to organize something on their territory, everything points to the Kursk nuclear power plant, thus focusing the attention of the population on that direction.
After that, it will be possible to say: “Dear, we are not up to the war (or as they call it, special military operation), we have already completed our tasks, Ukraine has finally ceased to exist as an independent state,” and so on. They will come up with something, and the TV will prove very quickly, in a week, that “there is a war in Albania”. They can think of anything and leave, because they have neither the opportunity nor the desire to do something in Ukraine.
