Lukashists Attempt To Hold ‘Brains’ In Country

The brain drain has not decreased since 2020.
The “brain drain” almost has not decreased in Belarus for three years after the mass protests. It's not surprising, not only because the repression continues, but also for economic reasons: incomes have fallen significantly in comparison with prices. For example, the latest Hrodna Azot 'calculations' showed that a master-level medical specialist in a local clinic has the same income as a unit operator of the lowest, the fourth level, at the plant. Naturally, in such a situation, any doctor who has been studying for 7 years at the university will look for a better income and good working conditions. Where, at least, you will not be afraid that a KGB officer will come to talk with you about whether you comply with your position.
However, the Lukashists, observing a huge outflow of the most valuable personnel, found a way to hold the "brains" in the country. Well, as they found, the history of the past helped them resort to serfdom, familiar to everyone. They know very well what a “brain drain” is because, having captured a significant part of the intelligentsia, the other part confidently began to leave for Europe in order to avoid repression. Since medicine is one of the most necessary specializations, they were the first to fall under the experiment. The government of Belarus has issued a new version of the law “On Health Care”. The new edition of the law provides significantly increased obligatory job terms for students after completing their residency training. In short, everyone will receive obligatory job prescriptions, regardless of the form of education. If, for example, part-time residents were not required to like that previously, then with the new law they could be trapped for more than 5 years. Considering that now there will be no paid residency training for all the Belarusian medical specialists, only for those who complete state-granted studies, it turns out that when entering there, whether full-time or part-time, specialists bind themselves with obligations for 7-10 years.
Well, there are penalties to consider. Since now everyone is obliged to study in residency in a so-called voluntary-compulsory form, everything must be done to make it impossible for medical graduates to escape. Thus, those wishing to leave will have to return the funds spent on their education multiplied by 2.5. That is, for every BYR 1000 spent on the education of one medical specialist, the graduate will have to repay BYR 2500.
Already, this gesture of the Lukashists has called into question the desire to enter medical universities. This is despite the end of the school year and the fact that admission to universities is about to begin. The eldest daughter of one of my colleagues, an 8th-grade school child, wanted to enter a medical university. She was studying so hard with tutors, and had a huge number of medical reference books, but now, at the end of the school year, she changed her mind sharply. I'm sure there are thousands like her.
By the way, all these years after the “elections”, we annually observe shortfalls in almost all universities in Belarus. The Lukashists have been digging deeper holes for themselves for many years. They are unable to cope with the outflow of personnel and try to "enslave" them, destroying the interest of applicants for study. That is, they lost students when they tried to hold the workers. People retire every year, soon there will be no one to replace them.
It is unfortunate that in 1994 the power of our country accidentally fell into the hands of a criminal who, in 29 years, destroyed everything he touched. The smartest of our fellow citizens are forced to either seek refuge in foreign countries, where they will work honestly and with dignity, or be captured by the regime. After all, there are still a huge number of political prisoners: master-level teachers, inventors, IT and medical specialists. They are people, not only with high IQ, but also with the honour inherent in the patriots of Belarus.
