Zelensky In The Hague: We All Want To See Different Vladimir Here

Only a tribunal can truly condemn the crime of aggression.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking in The Hague, where the International Criminal Court is located, said he would like to see Putin there.

“Of course, we all want to see different Vladimir here in The Hague. The one who deserves to be sentenced for these criminal actions right here in the capital, in the capital of international law. And I'm sure we will see that happen when we win, and we will win. And when we win not just on the battlefield, not just against this aggression,” he said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that the task of the world is not to cope with specific aggression but with wars of aggression as such.

“The perpetrators of the war did not believe that they would have to answer for what they did. However, the bringing war must receive judgment,” he said.

He stressed that only a tribunal can actually issue verdicts for the crime of aggression.
