‘Hope For China’s Support For Lukashenka Was Also Dashed’

Beijing has made its bet.
The conversation between President Volodymyr Zelensky and Xi Jinping took place.
This means that Beijing is really disappointed with the position of the "bunker stump" [Putin - Ed.] in relation to the war against Ukraine, writes the Nick and Mike Telegram channel.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry promptly cancelled the unfortunate statement by the Chinese ambassador in Paris just before the conversation in response to the reaction of the Baltic countries and Ukraine (vassals, we recall, completely ignored this attack - an interesting observation for Beijing).
The conversation itself also touched on the potential use of nuclear weapons - here again, everyone heard the Chinese clear answer - "No". Whether the aggressors will risk using it now is a big question (and there are two options for using it - either destroy logistics in the West or create an exclusion zone through which it is impossible to attack in the East).
They also discussed the future of Ukrainian-Chinese relations. The first results are the appointment of the Ambassador of Ukraine to China and the visit of the Special Representative of China to Ukraine.
All this is work for the future. Impressions from what he saw in Ukraine will no longer allow Russia to impose its worldview on Beijing, and Beijing to hide behind vague wordings like “not everything is so simple” and “Russia cannot lie so impudently and incompetently.”
The ambassador in Beijing will work, among other things, on the prospect of a post-war regional structure. He will consider Beijing's involvement in the reconstruction of Ukraine and closer cooperation in the field of logistics, bypassing two unpredictable dictators.
In any case, even a symbolic Ukrainian-Chinese rapprochement deprives the two aggressors of the populist trump card: “The majority of humanity is on our side.” This is about politics, and if we are talking about the economy, then the hope for the support of Minsk by China was dashed. Close cooperation is being built with those who are friends and trade with the West, and not with those who are about to be rejected.
China has made its bet.
