The names of at least two PMC commanders have become known.

The orders to kill civilians in Soledar and Bakhmut could have been given by Wagner fighters Vladimir Kitaev and Maksim Koshman.

On the eve, the video footage of former Wagner fighters who used to fight in Ukraine, but have already returned to their homeland, appeared on the Internet.

They confessed to killing not only Ukrainian prisoners of war and deserter mercenaries, but also civilians in Donbas.

Ukrainian journalist Andriy Tsaplyenko managed to identify two mercenary commanders who might have given those most brutal orders, reports dialog.ua.

One of them is Vladimir Kitaev, who is known under the pseudonyms of Aisman and Chinaman. It was he who could give orders to the rest of the mercenaries to kill civilians in Soledar and Bakhmut during the mopping-up operations in the towns.

Azamat Uldarov, one of the former mercenaries whom Prigozhin recruited for the war in a Russian prison, remembers Aisman in an interview.

Vladimir Kitaev has recently lived in the Far East. He was recruited into the Wagner PMC in 2015. He fought in Syria.

He is one of those mercenaries who used a sledgehammer to eliminate a deserter from Assad's army.

After that, Kitaev went to war in an African country.

In his interview, Uldarov also mentioned a second commander, whose call sign was "Korshun".

In this case we may be talking about Maksim Koshman. He is a native of Donetsk Region. In 2014, he took part in the seizure of Sloviansk together with Girkin. He fought in the ranks of the so-called 'Novorossiya Special Forces'.

This unit was "famous" back then for torturing and killing not only prisoners of war but also civilians.

In 2020, during a special operation of the Ukrainian security services he was detained in Belarus with 32 Wagner fighters, but was later released by Minsk.
