The reason was the violation of the border by the Belarusian border guard.
On April 14, the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned a representative of the Belarusian embassy and handed him a strict note of protest in connection with repeated cases of violations of the Lithuanian state border by Belarusian civil servants, reports zerkalo.io.
The reason for the note was an incident that occurred on April 12, when in the area of the Shvenchenis border checkpoint, Lithuanian border guards recorded on video surveillance cameras how one of the Belarusian border guards near the border post of Lithuania went beyond the border line at a distance of about a meter and then returned to the Belarusian territory.
In the note, the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry demanded that Belarus should immediately provide clarifications about the incident and take measures to prevent similar cases in the future.
