Belarusian Border Patrol Violated State Border Of Lithuania

Security cameras caught the incident.

The Lithuanian State Border Guard Service accused the Belarusian border guards of violating the border. Security cameras recorded the incident on Wednesday afternoon, April 12, in the Shvenchionys district.

According to the Lithuanian Border Service, the border guards were monitoring the Belarusian border patrol team of five people. They were walking along the border on the Belarusian side. One of the border guards briefly entered Lithuanian territory at a distance of about one meter and returned to the territory of Belarus without stopping. Later, the patrol continued to move along the Belarusian side.

“The Vilnius Border Police Department has initiated a pre-trial investigation due to the illegal crossing of the state border,” the report reads.
