Statkevich's Wife: No Letters Came From Mikalai For More Than A Month

The lawyer is not allowed to see the political prisoner.
The wife of one of the leaders of the Belarusian opposition Mikalai Statkevich, Maryna Adamovich, said that she had not received letters from her husband for a month, and on March 3, a lawyer was not allowed to see Statkevich.
Mikalai Statkevich was sentenced to 14 years in prison in the “Tsikhanouski case”, he was accused of organizing mass riots (Article 293 of the Criminal Code of Belarus).
Since the beginning of July 2022, since Mikalai Statkevich began serving his sentence in the Hlybokaye colony, he has had 23 penalties. At least 9 times he ended up in a punishment cell — for periods of 7 to 10 days. The political prisoner celebrated the New Year in the punishment cell.
February 25 marks exactly 1,000 days since the arrest of Mikalai Statkevich and Pavel Seviarynets. On this occasion, a rally was held in Warsaw in support of the leaders of the Belarusian opposition. The participants called on the President of Poland to help in the release of political prisoners.
