BelNPP's Second Power Unit Launch Dates Have Been Released

Belarusian Minister of Energy revealed the date.

The second power unit of the Belarusian Nuclear Power plant will be put into commercial operation in October 2023. Minister of Energy Viktar Karankevich announced this at a "meeting" with Lukashenka on the issues of the BelNPP.

They’ve scheduled the first attempt to link the second power unit to the network for April. At the same time, the power of the reactor plant will be raised to 40%.

Recall that the launch of the second power unit has been postponed more than once. The loading of nuclear fuel into the reactor of the second power unit was completed at the end of 2021. They were going to put it into commercial operation before the end of 2022, then in February, then in March, and finally in April. Prior to this, the launch was postponed from 2020 to May 2022.
