It is not ruled out that the enemy will limit itself to a local attack.
Ukrainian military expert Oleksandr Kovalenko said that the enemy army is ready to launch a new offensive in the Zaporizhzhia direction. However, it is not ruled out that the enemy will limit itself to a local attack.
According to the military expert, the occupiers have very big problems in the southern bridgehead. One of them is the lack of staffing of the units, Kovalenko wrote on his Telegram-channel.
The enemy not only lacks manpower, but also military equipment and ammunition, which is why we should not expect any large-scale offensive operations. However, there could be an attack in the direction of Orekhove or Huliaipole to push back the borders. There are about 11 BTGs near Pyatikhatki, but they lack military hardware.
On the left bank of Kherson region the enemy has about 25 BTGs, but the situation with the military equipment is still worse. In total there are 60 tanks, 250 BMPs, 30 MLRS and about 65 artillery pieces.
Such a picture has only become real because the Russian Defense Ministry is throwing all its forces, equipment and reserves into the capture of Bakhmut.
In Kovalenko's words, this situation can be called the "Bakhmut effect", when fighting for one town affects the entire situation of the enemy in the entire combat zone in Ukraine.
