John Kirby commented on the clash of a drone and a Russian Su-27 fighter jet over the Black Sea.

The US took measures so that the MQ-9 Reaper UAV, forced down over the Black Sea, would not fall into the wrong hands.

John Kirby, the Coordinator for Strategic Communications of the US National Security Council, stated this, according to CNN.

“We’ve taken some specific measures so that no one could recover the Reaper. Sure, we don't want anyone else except us to have access to it," Mr Kirby said.

Previously, representative of the Pentagon General Patrick S. Ryder stated that the crashed UAV did not fall into the Russian hands.

Also, Russian media published an audio recording of some people discussing in Russian the issue of raising from the bottom of some fragments of the crushed drone. In particular, it is claimed that it was possible to raise the casing of the internal combustion engine.

Recall that yesterday morning an American MQ-9 Reaper drone and a Russian Su-27 fighter jet collided over the Black Sea.

Later it became known that US President Joe Biden had already been informed about the incident.

Mr Kirby also said that the United States will not stop flying over the Black Sea after a clash between a Russian fighter jet and a US drone.
