Human Rights Defenders: Former Deputy Minister Of Communications, Informatisation Detained

  • 14.03.2023, 10:10

It may be because of the explosion in Machulishchy.

The detention of former Deputy Minister of Communications and Informatization Dzmitry Shedko has become known. It is possible that the arrest is connected with the blowing up of an aeroplane in Machulishchy.

As Charter97.org reported, the man has been missing and cannot be found for three days.

According to human rights activists from Viasna, Dzmitry was probably detained at his workplace in Moscow. According to our sources, the man had long been associated with the role-players and occasionally took part in their events when possible - he personally knew some of the people who had been detained in the Machulishchy sabotage case.

Shedko served as assistant to Mikhail Miasnikovich, chairman of the board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (the body of the Eurasian Economic Union, which includes Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Kazakhstan).

Until May 2019, he was Deputy Minister of Communications and Informatisation of Belarus.
