Armenia Takes Another Step Towards Leaving CSTO

Yerevan will not propose its own candidate for the post of Deputy Secretary General of the military bloc.

Armenia will not propose its own candidate for the post of Deputy Secretary General of the CSTO. It refuses its quota for this position in the secretariat of the organization.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vahan Hunanyan stated this, News.am reports.

Earlier, in an interview with the Charter97.org website, the ex-ambassador of Armenia to the Russian Federation Stepan Grigoryan expressed the opinion that the CSTO would fall apart in the near future.
