Lukashists Try Former Associate Professor Natallia Dulina

It is not yet known whether the trial will be held behind closed or not.
Today, 7 February, the trial of Natallia Dulina, former associate professor at Minsk State Linguistic University, begins.
The trial will take place in Minsk Regional Court. It is not yet known whether her case will be considered in closed or open format.
Natallia Dulina is charged under two articles:
- Part 1, Art. 361-4 (promotion of extremist activity);
- Part 1, Art. 342 (organization and preparation of actions that grossly violate public order, or active participation in them).
We should remind that on 3 October, former lecturer of MSLU Natallia Dulina was detained. A criminal case was brought against her under article for organization and preparation of actions that grossly violate public order or active participation in them (342 of the Criminal Code). The article's sanction provided for up to four years of imprisonment.
According to the law enforcement officers, Dulina "came out to 'Sunday marches,' together with other citizens blocked the roadway, preventing the normal operation of public transport and other urban infrastructure.
Dulina has been recognized by human rights activists as a political prisoner.
Natallia Dulina is a former assistant professor of Italian at MSLU who supported the strike and the protesting students. In 2020, she served 14 days of administrative arrest for participating in an unsanctioned event and was fired from the university. In total, she has been detained six times since 2020.
