Tank Duels: AFU Defeat Russians Near Ugledar

Ukrainian fighters are winning even with the old Soviet T-80 armor.

Tanks are the most powerful weapons of contact combat. While waiting for Western supplies, the Ukrainian military is using Soviet-era T-80 armored vehicles to the maximum. They are used both when defending lines and assaulting enemy positions.

Sometimes fighters have to take part in tank duels. The tankmen of the 35th Marine brigade told TCH journalists how they won such battles.

Marine tankers showed on video what their armored vehicles can do. The tank drivers easily made turns with their 40-ton vehicles, and the dank field black earth was not an obstacle for their caterpillars.

Soldiers of the 35th brigade of marines are those who drove the enemy from Kherson region and now are fighting in the Ugledar direction. They confess that they had to face Russian tanks on the battlefield several times and ours proved to be more skilful.

Each battle is a mix of adrenaline, fear and focus, say the Marines. The main objective during combat is to destroy the enemy and come back alive and unharmed.

The T-80 is the main battle tank of the third generation produced by the USSR. It is now in service with the Armed Forces of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, South Korea, Cyprus and Pakistan. Ukraine produces its latest modification, the T-84.
