An unknown virus is sweeping across Russia, international media report. Hospitals across the country specialising in the treatment of infectious diseases are experiencing a strange rush. This is reported by the British newspaper The Mirror, citing sources in the Russian Federation.

The authorities and the media of the Russian Federation are trying to hide the real situation. Meanwhile, dozens of ambulances are queuing outside hospitals in a number of Russian cities, similar to what happened at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sources in the RF assure that the disease manifests itself as pneumonia. The Moscow Health Ministry issued an urgent statement to reassure citizens.

The department assures that the situation is "standard" and there is allegedly no outbreak, and even on the contrary: there is allegedly a decrease in the incidence of ARVI and COVID-19.

"There is no significant increase in hospitalisations in the city... The situation on morbidity is normal and corresponds to the epidemic season," reported the Moscow department.
