Advisor to the mayor of Mariupol Petro Andryushchenko told Channel 24 about this, noting that the Kadyrovtsy are not too involved in any activities in the city itself.

Andryushchenko noted that there are quite a few Kadyrovtsy in temporarily occupied Mariupol. Their corps is located on the territory of the factory named after Ilyich.

"They were recently well made fun of there by the workers of the Ilyich factory, who are forced to do different things," said the adviser to the Mariupol mayor.

According to him, when there was a rotation of the Kadyrovtsy, sabotage was arranged for them in the position. In particular, someone stuffed paper into the biotoilets used by the occupants and set them on fire - now the Kadyrovtsy are running in the bushes in the cold.

The Kadyrovtsy's Task in Mariupol

The Mariupol mayor's advisor said that the Kadyrovtsy are mainly stationed at the Ilyich factory. Their main task is to control it. At the same time, as part of the Rosgvardiya they also fulfil the functions of this structure in the city.

He noted that the previous shift of the Kadyrovtsy in autumn constantly looked at the Azovstal plant, where a lot of scrap metal was left. Since everything there is densely mined, 5-7 Kadyrovtsy exploded. After that they stopped going there.

"And as it is - they continue to rob Ilyich," Andryushchenko said.

He added that the Kadyrovtsy are not too involved in any activities in the city itself. For now, they are just sitting in the factory, so it's hard to guess how they might be used in the future.
