Putin Chafes At Finland Joining NATO

Russia’s head speaks about “cordial relations”.
The head of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, attacked Finland with threats because the country acceded to NATO. He claims that the Russian Federation will send troops to the Finnish border.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine regarding the dictator’s statement for the “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin.” show.
“They just grabbed Finland into NATO. Did we have any disputes? All disputes, including those about territory, were resolved long ago in the middle of the 20th century. The relationship was the kindest and most cordial,” said the dictator.
At the same time, Putin could not resist and threatened Finland with troops.
“There were no problems, but they will arise now. Because we will now create the Leningrad Military District and deploy certain troops there. Why do they need this? This is nonsense,” he said.
At the same time, the Russian dictator assured that he did not want a conflict with NATO. He said that the Alliance member-states allegedly created the conflict themselves and wanted the “strategic defeat” of the Russian Federation.
“No one has problems with us. Not at all. It is they [NATO member-states - Ed.] who make problems with us because they do not want such a competitor as Russia,” Putin added.
Recall that in April 2023, Finland officially became the 31st member of NATO. Sweden also plans to join the Alliance, but Türkiye is currently blocking its membership.
The issue of NATO expansion became relevant after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
Also on November 30, the Finnish authorities decided to close all checkpoints on the border with the Russian Federation. This happened due to a large number of illegal migrants who wanted to enter Finland from the territory of the Russian Federation.
