Doctors Report Condition Of Injured Belaruskali Workers

Head physician of the Salihorsk Central District Hospital Aliaksandr Kisel spoke about the condition of Belaruskali workers who were injured on November 3 in an emergency at the 2nd mine department. According to official information, a transport cabin was “stuck” there.

All five injured Belaruskali employees were diagnosed with injuries of varying severity resulting from a fall from the height.

“The patients immediately underwent the necessary diagnostic measures and were rendered aid in accordance with the protocols of the Ministry of Health. Emergency notifications were sent to the regional and republican emergency medical care centers,” said Aliaksandr Kisel.

A spinal surgeon and a traumatologist-orthopedist from the Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics, as well as a traumatologist from the Minsk Regional Hospital, came to the Salihorsk Central District Hospital for advice and practical assistance.

Reportedly, one of the patients required surgery to stabilize the lumbar spine, which was performed in the Salihorsk Central District Hospital.

“At the operational consultation, treatment and diagnostic tactics were agreed upon for all victims. At the moment, the patients are in a stable condition, under the dynamic supervision of corresponding specialists,” said Aliaksandr Kisel.

The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case due to the incident at Belaruskali.
