Brent Oil Prices Fall By More Than 4%

The price of Brent oil futures for January delivery on the London ICE exchange fell by 4.3% to $78.9 per barrel as of the evening of November 22.

The price of WTI crude oil futures for January delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange fell 4.4% to $74.36 per barrel.

The price of Brent oil fell below $80 per barrel after Bloomberg reported that OPEC+ members may postpone a meeting scheduled for the weekend. OPEC later confirmed that the meeting had been rescheduled from November 25-26 to Thursday, November 30. On this day, a meeting of the OPEC+ Monitoring Committee (JMMC) and a meeting of ministers of OPEC and non-OPEC countries will take place.
